Saeko was born in Kyoto, Japan to painter mother and philosopher father. It was natural she took interest in drawing and art from early age. She moved to London in 1995 to study graphic design at Central St Martin´s College of Art & Design. After graduation she became a fashion stylist contributing to magazines such as Vogue.

Now she is illustrating full time and her clients varies from magazines, newspapers, packaging to fashion brands. Her style of illustration is strongly influenced by her fashion background, Japanese art and touch of eroticism.
